Prof. Bidhu K Mohanti.MD. Director-Academic and Head of Radiation Oncology, Bagchi Sri Shankara Cancer Centre & Research Institute(BSSCCRI),Infovalley, Bhubaneswar 752054,India. Prof. Mohanti is Former Professor in Radiation Oncology, AIIMS,New Delhi; and Former Director KIMS Cancer Centre, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences(KIMS),K.I.I.T.University, India. He worked in academic medical career as faculty at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore (1985-1992) and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi(1992-2013).Prof. Bidhu K Mohanti took a voluntary retirement from the academic post of Professor at AIIMS,Delhi and joined as Director and Head of Radiation Oncology, Fortis Memorial Research Institute,Gurgaon,Haryana,India(March 2013 to Feb 2018),subsequently as Consultant in Radiation Oncology, Manipal Hospitals,Human Care Medical Charitable Trust,Dwarka,Delhi,India(March 2018 to March 2020). Prof. Bidhu Mohanti had set up the Radiation Oncology department at the National Oncology Center, Royal Hospital,Muscat,Oman(2004-2006); worked as the Director to set up KIMS Cancer Centre in Odisha, India. He worked as a cancer expert and evaluator for European Commission, Brussels(FP7-Health-Cancer Area) and has carried out project works for IAEA,Vienna.
He has clinical, research and academic experiences in head and neck,gastrointestinal,pediatric,hematologic and lung cancers.
He is also an expert in Palliative Care.
