About

Dr. S. Joseph Gladwin is currently working as General Manager - Product Development at BigCat Wireless Pvt Ltd, Chennai. He received his B.E. in ECE from Bharathidasan University, M.E. in Applied Electronics from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University and Ph.D. from Anna University Chennai.
Prior to joining BigCat Wireless, he served as Associate Professor in the department of ECE at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSN), Chennai for 15 years. He has an overall teaching experience of 22 years. He has over forty research publications in National / International conferences and International Journals.
He is a co-author of one book titled ‘Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering’. He has been the chair for several technical symposiums and International Conferences and attended several conferences as Invited Guest, both in India and abroad.
He is an active member in various professional societies. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Member of IEEE AP-S, IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc), IEEE SP-S, Life member IETE and Life member ISTE.
He is the Vice-Chairman (Industry) of IEEE Madras Section. He was Executive committee member of IEEE Madras Section during 2018 - 2019 and Treasurer of IEEE Madras Section during 2020 - 2021.
He was Chair of IEEE AP-S Madras Chapter for the years 2016 - 2017. He was the recipient of IEEE Best Volunteer Award from IEEE AP-S Head Quarters for 3 Consecutive years.
His areas of interest include Electromagnetic Fields, Signal and Image Processing, and Wireless Communication.
