About
Hello all ! I am a Veterinary scientist and my area of expertise is veterinary virology. Having involved in academics, I teach Veterinary Microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students and carry out research in animal virology. During my MVSc program I have worked on genetic characterization and isolation of Orf virus, an animal poxvirus that affects small ruminants. My PhD dissertation was on the development of a thermotolerant PPR vaccine and investigation on defective interfering particles on vaccine upscaling where I learned skills and expertise in conventional and molecular virological techniques. Being associated with industry, I have gained research competence in process optimization and development of veterinary viral vaccines. Currently I am pursuing research on development of immunodiagnostics for animal and avian diseases. I am also passionate about scientific writing and communication and open to work and collaborate.
