Bijit Biswas

About

Dr. Bijit Biswas is a public health specialist and family physician with experience in epidemiology, implementation research, and community-based healthcare delivery. His work focuses on infectious diseases, particularly neglected tropical diseases, as well as noncommunicable diseases, tobacco control, maternal and child health, and health systems strengthening in resource-constrained settings. As In-Charge of an Urban Health and Training Centre (UHTC), he is actively involved in primary healthcare services, field-based research, and training of healthcare workers. He has contributed to multicentric national and global collaborative research initiatives and serves in editorial and peer-review roles for several international journals, supporting evidence-informed public health practice and policy.
