About
I, Dr. Taufiq Ahamad completed PhD Degree in Physics from H.N.B. Garhwal University, (A Central University), Uttarakhand India. I have also worked as Technical Assistance in Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Department of Atomic Energy, India. My major area of research study is detection of environmental radioactivity in air, water and soil. My academic journey, marked by a Ph.D. in Physics with the expertise in comprehensive measurement of natural radioactivity in air, water and soil in which I have gone through the different aspects like Ionizing Radiation, Environmental Radioactivity, Health Physics, Nuclear Physics, Dose Estimation, Statistical Analysis, Scintillation Counting, Radiation Dosimetry, Radiation Detection and Experimental Physics, Radioactivity, Gamma Spectrometry, Detectors, Radon, Radiation Measurements, Radon Daughters, Radioprotection, Radionuclides, Uranium and Heavy Metals analysis etc., fields. This has provided me a comprehensive understanding of my research with Health and wellness of inhabitants who got exposed to natural radioactivity. Through my research experiences, I have had the privilege of working on projects that have expanded my knowledge in environmental radioactivity including a project sanctioned by Board of Research in Nuclear Science, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. These experiences have boosted my ability to design experiments, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions, skills that are crucial in the field of radiation physics and radionuclide analysis. My research area is equally important for human health and wellness as it has got wide application in the dose estimation that received by human beings due to exposure of natural radioactivity. I have conferred with the best oral as well as best poster presentation awards and Research Excellence Award in various reputed international conferences. This gives me the motivation to improve research at the global level. Apart from this, I have published quality research papers in SCI and SCOPUS Indexed reputed Journals. Recently, I have got an opportunity to present my research work in prestigious International Symposium on Natural and Artificial Radioactivity in Environment and Radiological Protection (NARE-2023) organised by Hirosaki University, Hirosaki City, Japan.
My personal research interest or vision is to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and address pressing global challenges through interdisciplinary research and innovation. As far as my research vision is concern, it characterized by the following important points that I believe are useful in research:
i. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: I believe that breakthroughs often occur at the intersection of diverse fields. My research will embrace collaboration with experts from various domains, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and methodologies.
