Dr. Rishi Manrai is an accomplished academic in the field of Finance and FinTech with over 14 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience. Currently serving as Professor in Scool of Management, Bennett University, Greater Noida. His scholarly contributions include more than 27 peer-reviewed publications, with 5 papers indexed in SSCI journals and several appearing in ABDC-ranked and Scopus-indexed outlets (Q1–Q3). His research area includes FinTech adoption, artificial intelligence in financial services, behavioral finance, and digital financial inclusion.
Dr. Manrai has made significant contributions to doctoral education, having successfully guided 12 PhD scholars across diverse interdisciplinary topics including AI adoption, sustainability, financial behavior, and technology-driven services. His role as PhD Programme Coordinator further highlights his leadership in curriculum design, research quality assurance, and mentoring early-career researchers toward high-impact publications. In addition to his research and teaching, he has actively contributed to academic governance by convening international conferences, delivering faculty development programs on research methodology and publishing in high-impact journals, and fostering a research-oriented academic culture.
His academic profile is further strengthened by his involvement in funded research projects, including an ICSSR-sponsored major research project under Vision Viksit Bharat@2047, along with previously completed funded work on digital banking adoption. He has also contributed to policy and public discourse through articles published in the Financial Express. Internationally, he has been recognized as an invited panelist at a global conference on Digital Finance and Sustainability held in Tokyo, Japan, co-organized by the Asian Development Bank Institute and Singapore Management University.
Dr. Manrai’s contributions have been acknowledged through several prestigious awards, including the Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award (2020), multiple Best Paper Awards at international and national conferences, and a Service Excellence Award. He also plays an active role in the academic community as an editorial board member of a Scopus-indexed journal and as a reviewer for several SSCI and ABDC-ranked journals, having reviewed more than 26 research papers. His academic journey includes prior appointments at reputed institutions such as Symbiosis International University, IMS Noida, and earlier engagements with institutions of national importance.
He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Thapar University, along with an MBA in Finance and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
