Prof. Rahul Johari is teaching at University School Of Automation and Robotics, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, East Delhi Campus, Delhi, India. He has done his PostDoctoral Research under supervision of Prof Deo Prakash Vidyarthi from School of Computer and System Sciences(SC&SS), JNU and PhD under supervision of Prof Neelima Gupta and Dr Sandhya Aneja from Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi. Presently he is PhD Program Coordinator and B.Tech[Artificial Intelligence-Data Science] Program Coordinator in USAR and is holding the post of Associate Director, Students Welfare of East Delhi Campus, GGSIP University. He is Head and Founder of SWINGER [Security, Wireless, IoT Network Group of Engineering and Research] (https://sites.google.com/ipu.ac.in/swingerusict/home).
His profile has been accepted into 'Marquis Who's Who for the 2018 and 2019 Edition', which comprises of the top 3% of the professionals in the world. He is Microsoft/Google Certified Professional and ODEM certified BlockChain Faculty. He was awarded 'Outstanding Researcher Award' for the academic year 2023-2024, Best Teacher/Researcher Award for the academic year 2013-2014 & 2014-2015 and with Vice Chancellor's Certificate of Appreciation in 2020-2021 and 2022-2023 at GGSIP University. He was awarded 'Distinguished Researcher Award - 2025' by Scientific Laurels, a Peritus Hive Research and Innovations Foundation. His academic and research profile has been accredited as Best Profile of the GGSIP University by IRINS(Indian Research Information Network System), a web-based Research Information Management (RIM) service developed by INFLIBNET Centre under National Mission on Education through ICT(NME-ICT) under Ministry of Education, Govt of India.

He was conferred with 'Best Faculty Award' by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and SEMS Inc in April 2022. He is the Founder-cum-Faculty Mentor of the IT Startup उदीप-'UDIP' [ Unified Devices for Inclusion of PwD] and उड़ान-'UDANN' [UAV for Defense and Aerial Network Navigation].

Prior to joining Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in September 2007,he worked in Centre for Development of Advanced Computing(C-DAC), NOIDA from September 2001 to August 2007. He is the recipient of the FRGS (Faculty Research Grant Scheme, GGSIP University) for the Academic Years : 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-2021, 2023-2024, 2024-2025). He is a member of International Scientific Societies/Organizations like: IEEE(Membership Number: 93376115), ACM(Membership Number: 3744657), IAENG(Membership Number: 104516), SEMS(Membership Number: 0249), DSCI(Data Security Council of India) and life member cum executive committee member of CCICI (Cloud Computing and Innovation Council of India). His VIDWAN Score [NME-ICT under Ministry of Education, Govt of India] is 9.2/10 (https://vidwan.inflibnet.ac.in/profile/179579). He is currently supervising 08 Phd Students, 02 student has been awarded PhD Degree and 24 students has successfully completed their M.Tech dissertation under him. He has to his credit : 03 International Patent(awarded) and 04 patents have been filed/published by him. His 06 research papers have been adjudged "Best Research paper" in International Conferences. With 131 SCOPUS indexed publications (including 25+ book chapters) in leading IEEE, Springer, ELSEVIER and ACM indexed International Conferences and Journals. his current H-index is 18. He has delivered 223 keynote / invited talks in : Reputed Foreign Universities like: Moller Churchill College(Cambridge University UK), Nanyang Technological University (NTU)[Singapore], Advanced Information Science Research Center(Shenzhen CHINA), University of Stirling(UAE), ITMO University (Russia).
