About
Arvind Mukundan is a distinguished researcher with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from National Chung-Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2018 and later pursued a Master's in Space Science and Technology with a major in Instrumentation at Lulea University of Technology. His academic journey includes a Master's Diploma in Mechanical CADand Analysis from the CAD School. Arvind's groundbreaking work in the field of mechatronics and space engineering has earned him several accolades. Notably, he was awarded the best oral presentation at the International Conference on Mechatronics, Automobile, and Environment Engineering (ICMAEE) in Penghu, Taiwan, on July 15–16, 2022, for his presentation on "Laser-Based Power Transmission System for a Mini Lunar Rover."
Arvind Mukundan has been recognized as a finalist at the Annual International Mars Society convention held at the University of South California in October 2019. His presentation, titled "The Dvaraka Initiative: First Self-Sustaining Human Settlement on Mars," showcased his innovative contributions to the exploration and potential colonization of Mars. Additionally, he secured victory in the Sustainable Space Logistics Essay Competition conducted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne in January 2020. His research interests include hyperspectral imaging (HSI), color imaging, space colonization, and instrumentation.
