About
Mukesh Kumar is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar since Jan'2018 under the guidance of Dr. Dhiraj K. Mahajan. He received a Master of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute before joining the Ph.D. program. His master's and Ph.D. thesis involves the computational design of Type IV Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels with a focus on novel liner material development based on hydrogen permeation analysis, leak-proof liner-boss assembly, and composite wrapping optimization based on strength/failure analysis. He performs material modeling based on UMAT and UMATHT subroutines in Abaqus FE Solver and has expertise in the Wound Composite Modeler and WoundSim Software for composite wrapping optimization.
