About
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Immunology at the National Institute of Health (NIH), working on decoding cis-regulatory elements and transcription factor footprints at the IgH locus in B cells. I received my Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata) IISER Kolkata, where I studied how BRPF family bromodomains and associated reader modules interpret histone acetylation and contribute to the epigenetic regulation of hepatocellular carcinoma. My training combines molecular biology, protein biochemistry, chromatin immunoprecipitation, and quantitative biophysics with extensive experience in structural modeling, virtual screening, and sequencing data analysis (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, proteomics). I am broadly interested in how chromatin readers and cis-regulatory elements integrate signaling cues to control gene expression in normal and malignant cells, and in leveraging this knowledge to identify new therapeutic targets.
