About

I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Bhopal, a Doctoral Scholar at IIT Roorkee, and a Selected Member of the Indian Consortium for Sustainability Research (ICSR). With over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and planning, my work lies at the intersection of urban planning, regional development, the knowledge economy, regional innovation systems, and sustainable cities. I explore how cities and regions can become more innovative, resilient, and people-centred through evidence-based planning and policy.

My research has been published by Springer Nature, Elsevier, and Routledge, covering topics including urban innovation districts, regional innovation systems, knowledge-based development, sustainable urban planning, placemaking, coworking spaces, geospatial applications, landslide susceptibility, and urban water stress.

I recently served as the Editor of a 2026 Springer Nature volume and regularly review for leading international journals. I am actively engaged with professional bodies such as ITPI, IPPA, WCTR, and ICSR, have served as a Track Chair at IPPA5, and have been invited to speak at national and international academic and professional forums on urban planning, transport planning, geospatial technologies, regional development, innovation, and sustainable development.

My goal is to bridge research, teaching, planning practice, and policy to advance inclusive, innovation-driven, and sustainable urban and regional futures
