About
Welcome to my profile! I am an ARS scientist posted at the ICAR-National Research Center on Mithun in Nagaland, where I conduct cutting-edge research in the frontier areas of Livestock/Animal Genomics, with a special focus on Genomics approaches for Bos frontalis (Mithun).
My academic journey has been rooted in excellence. I completed my Ph.D. from the prestigious Animal Genetics Division of ICAR - Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), located in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. During my doctoral studies, I was honored to be supported by the prestigious Doctoral Research Fellowship (ICAR-SRF) from ICAR, New Delhi.
With a strong foundation in animal genetics, I have mastered several key areas of expertise. My research revolves around livestock genomics, SNP genotyping, big data analytics, and animal breeding. I have applied advanced genomic techniques and analytics to unravel the genetic makeup of indigenous cattle, contributing to the conservation and improvement of these valuable genetic resources.
My passion for research and dedication to advancing the field is reflected in my extensive publication record. I have authored research papers, review articles, short communications, and abstracts in esteemed international and national peer-reviewed journals. These contributions have allowed me to share my findings and collaborate with the global scientific community.
Prior to my Ph.D., I completed my Master's in Animal Genetics & Breeding from ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, where I was awarded the esteemed ICAR-PGS Scholarship (formerly ICAR-JRF) for securing the fourth rank in the MVSc entrance examination. Earlier, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry from GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India, where I proudly received the Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal for being the top graduate in my class.
As a researcher committed to leveraging genomics and data-driven approaches for the betterment of animal agriculture, I actively seek opportunities to collaborate and exchange knowledge with like-minded professionals. If you share a passion for indigenous cattle genomics, SNP genotyping, big data analytics, or animal breeding, I would be thrilled to connect with you.
Let's join forces and make a significant impact on the field of livestock genomics and contribute to the sustainable future of animal agriculture. Please feel free to reach out for collaboration, knowledge sharing, or any exciting opportunities that align with our shared interests.
