Yannis Georgellis is Professor of Economics and Management at SP Jain London School of Management. His research lies at the intersection of behavioural economics, labour economics, organisational behaviour, and wellbeing research. His work examines how labour-market experiences, organisational systems, and institutional environments shape subjective well-being, motivation, identity, and economic behaviour over time.
His research is particularly known for contributions to psychological adaptation and happiness economics, demonstrating how major life and labour-market transitions, especially unemployment, can have long-lasting effects on subjective wellbeing and life satisfaction.
