About
Myself Chiranjit Sen, I'm currently working as a Research Scientist in TCG Lifesciences Pvt. Limited (Global CRO & CDMOCRO company), Chemistry department, Block BN, Plot 7, Salt Lake Electronics Complex, Sector V, Kolkata-700091, West Bengal, India.
During post-doctoral study I explored the worked on the topic distal C-H activation reaction in Prof. Debabrata Maiti's group at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
My research experience is in the areas of oxazole synthesis by photoinduced [3+2] cycloaddition of carbene and nitriles synthesized and another field Metal catalyzed meta-C-H Activation of Arene with Heteroarene via a Cross-Dehydrogenative Coupling (CDC)
Earlier, I've completed my PhD from CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, India under the mentorship of Prof. Subhash Chandra Ghosh where my research endeavour was focused on “Regioselective C–C and C–Heteroatom Bond Formation via C–H Bond Functionalization” and published 12 papers in international journals.
My research experience is in the areas of synthesized a variety of heterocyclic compounds which includes synthesis of 8-nitroquinoline, 8‐amido quinoline, Quinoline N‐oxide, Picolinamide, 2‐Arylbenzoxazoles, followed by functionalization of them like C-H Alkylation, C-H Halogenation, C‐H Carboxylation, C-H/N-H Spiro Annulation, Oxidative Alkynylation, C-H Amination of Azoles, etc. I have extensive experience in the field of visible- light-promoted and heterogeneous catalysed organic transformations. My current research interest broadly includes 1) Directing group assisted transition metal catalysed C-H bond activation 2) Metallaphotocatalysed C-H bond functionalization 3) Organometallic chemistry 4) Green chemistry 5) organic transformation using Heterogeneous catalyst
