Dr. Neeraj Kumar Misra is an Associate Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT)-AP University, Amaravati, India. He is an IEEE senior member. He is interested in academic and research activities, such as mentoring UG, PG, and PhD students, as well as FDPs and STCs, which help him improve his teaching and learning skills. He is supervising five PhD scholars.
He worked for 5 years as an Associate Professor in the Electronics and Communication Department at BIET Hyderabad. He has rectified faculty as Associate Professor from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). During his work at BIET Hyderabad, he was Criteria-3 in-charge of NAAC, academic incharge and M.Tech Coordinator. He has more than 9-years of experience in teaching and research. Under his supervision, 18 M.Tech students completed their degrees from JNTUH Hyderabad.
He did his Full-time PhD under the Teaching Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP-II), Government of India and a World Bank Fellowship from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University in the year 2017. He did his B.Tech from Integral University, and his Post-Graduation first class with distinction. He did PGD in Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence from NIT Warangal, and PGDBA in Operations Management from Symbiosis, Pune.
He is the author or a co-author of more than 50 papers published in SCI, Scopus, and peer-reviewed international journals, and conference proceedings. He has published 14-SCI papers in Springer, Elsevier, World Scientific, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, and IET, and a 15-Book Chapter in Springer. He is the author or a co-author of 3 international books. The paper with the highest impact factor, 8.907, was published in Elsevier's Journal of Energy Storage. He has the citation of Google scholar citation 325, i10-15 and h-index-11
He is the inventor or co-inventor of 7 Indian patents published and 3 international patents granted. He received the Best Research Peace Award by RULA INTERNATIONAL AWARDS under the title “Quantum Computing” in the year 2019 and received the Best “Young Achiever Award” in the year 2019 for high impact factor paper publication at a young age by the Institute for Scholars. Under his supervision, 14 M.Tech (Completed) and 3 Ph.D (Ongoing) students completed their degrees.
He has received the best paper award at the International Conference on Advancement in Signal Processing & Integrated Networks (SPIN) at Amity University, Noida and the best paper award at the Springer-sponsored International Conference on Micro/Nanoelectronics Devices, Circuits, and Systems at NIT Silchar, Assam, India. He is a TPC/reviewer member of several reputed national and international conference proceedings.
He has received a funded FDP grant from AICTE-ISTE INDUCTION/REFRESHER PROGRAMMES. titled “Pedagogy: Innovative Methods of Teaching and Learning” as single Coordinator and also handled the MODROB Project from AICTE. He completed the AICTE-funded project with a budget of Rs. 18 lakh.
He is an editorial board member of ACTA SCIENTIFIC COMPUTER SCIENCES, Journal of Computer Hardware Engineering USA, Journal of Modern Electronic Technology from Synergy Publishing, and Information Engineering and Applied Computing. He is a senior member of IEEE, ISTE, ACM, IAENG, IRED, World Research Council, and IETE.
His research interests are in quantum computing, reversible computing, Fault-Tolerant Circuit Architecture, QCA technology, Nano-magnetic logic, DFT, and Low Power and Reliability-Aware VLSI circuits.
