Currently, Dr. Samanta holds the position of Senior Officer (Mining) at Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), one of the most prominent coal mining companies in India. Before this he had serve as Mining enginers in JOY Minining Services for five years in varoius Continuous Miner Project throughout India.
