About

I am currently working as an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy & Technology Management SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (Deemed-to-be-University), Shirpur, Dhule-425405, Maharashtra, India. I have worked as a Project Scientist-III at the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Takyelpat, Imphal-795001, Manipur, India (Department of Biotechnology, Government of India), and as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, DIT University, Dehradun, India. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tshwane University of Technology, Arcadia, Pretoria, and the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa, from January 2015 to June 2019. I have also worked as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Pharmacy/Pharmacognosy, University of Innsbruck, Center for Chemistry and Biomedicine, Innsbruck/Austria. I completed my Ph.D. at the School of Natural Product Studies, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata-700032, West Bengal, India. My area of research is the extraction, isolation, identification, and characterization of bioactive compounds and the evaluation of biological activity in-vitro (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme inhibition, Anti-cholinesterase activity, Anti-tyrosinase activity, and α-glucosidase inhibition). I have been awarded many best oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences. I have also received national and international travel grants from the Govt. of India and the University of Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa, to attend the international conference. I am also a part of the editorial board as editor and associate editor for many journals (Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Traditional Medicine Research). I am a member of many professional bodies.
