Dr. P. Ruban is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 18 years of teaching and research experience in the field of biotechnology. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. Dr. Ruban holds a Ph.D. in Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies with an interdisciplinary focus on biotechnology from Alagappa University, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology, and additional certification in organic farming and innovation management. His research interests span microbial, marine, and environmental biotechnology. He has made significant contributions to academia, publishing over 46 journal articles, 10 books, and 23 book chapters, along with registering multiple patents and gene sequences in international repositories. Dr. Ruban’s leadership is highlighted by his role as Editor-in-Chief at Chrisam Publication and involvement in various academic boards and organizing national-level conferences. His interdisciplinary projects, including those funded by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainable solutions in environmental management and biotechnology education. Dr. Ruban’s professional journey reflects a passion for research innovation, teaching, and the practical application of biosciences for societal benefit.
