About
Vinay Kumar Srivastava received the BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Government Engineering College Rewa, MP, India in 1989, the M Tech degree in Communication Engineering from IIT BHU, Varanasi, India in 1991 and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India in 2001.
Presently he is Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, MNNIT, Allahabad, India. After spending a brief period (from September 1991 to November 1992) in Indian Telephone Industries Limited, Naini, Allahabad as Assistant Executive engineer, he joined Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, India, as a Lecturer in 1992, where he became an Assistant Professor in 2001, Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2010. He is also involved in development of on-line counselling software for engineering and management entrance examinations. He has about twenty years of teaching and research experience in the area of signal processing, image processing and communication Engineering. He has supervised a number of B Tech projects and M Tech Theses. He has also supervised 12 PhD Theses. He has chaired of many sessions in conferences. He has published over 135 research papers in International journals and International & National conference proceedings. His current research interest include image compression, post-processing of DCT coded images, digital watermarking of images, digital filtering, digital signal processing methods for identification of protein coding DNA regions, design and analysis of IDMA systems for wireless and mobile networks.
