About
Dr. Ram Ji Tripathi has research expertise in thermal engineering with a focus on thermal systems, solar-driven evaporative cooling, energy storage material, and nanofluids. He has published several SCIE papers, and reviewed leading journals including Elsevier, Scientific reports and ASME. He has actively participated in numerous AICTE-sponsored Faculty Development Programs and has hands-on experience with MATLAB, EES. His research is aimed at sustainable, energy-efficient thermal systems for future buildings and environments .
Ram Ji Tripathi, Ph.D., was awarded a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He received his M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, in 2017, and his B.Tech from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, in 2013
I have developed a research-oriented profile through continuous involvement in high-quality publications, academic training programs, and national as well as international research activities. My research journey reflects a balanced combination of experimental investigation, numerical analysis, and optimization-based modeling, particularly in the areas of thermal systems, evaporative cooling, solar energy applications, desalination, and advanced energy systems. To date, I have published 7 SCIE-indexed research papers in high-impact Elsevier and ASME journals such as Applied Thermal Engineering, Journal of Building Engineering, Journal of Energy Storage, and Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications. These publications focus on experimental performance evaluation, optimization through genetic algorithms, response surface methodology, and exergo-enviro-economic analysis of solar-driven and evaporative cooling systems. In addition to this, I have 3 Scopus-indexed journal papers, 4 ISBN-based international book chapters, and 5 other peer-reviewed national and international journal papers. My research work has achieved more than 85 citations with an h-index of 5 and i10-index of 3 on Google Scholar, reflecting the growing impact and visibility of my work in the global research community. I also have multiple papers currently under review in premium SCIE journals such as Energy and Journal of Cleaner Production. Along with journal publications, I have actively participated in national seminars and conferences, where I presented research papers on solar energy innovation, psychrometric optimization in evaporative coolers, nanofluid-based heat exchanger analysis, and solar distillation systems. These platforms provided valuable opportunities to interact with researchers, exchange technical ideas, and gain exposure to interdisciplinary research developments. My participation in national seminars such as BARE-2016 and NCI-2017 played an important role in strengthening my presentation skills and academic confidence. To continuously upgrade my research and teaching capabilities, I have successfully completed multiple AICTE-sponsored Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and Short-Term Training Programs (STTPs). These include FDPs on Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Materials, Modeling and Manufacturing, Modern Research Methods & Analytical Tools, Green Process Protocols, Recent Advances in Experimental Tools & Techniques, and Advanced Functional Materials for Clean Energy. These programs significantly enhanced my expertise in experimental design, material characterization, data analysis, AI-based modeling, and modern thermal research tools. In addition to publications and training, I actively contribute to the academic community as a recognized peer reviewer for reputed journals such as Journal of Building Engineering, Journal of Energy Storage, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Scientific Reports, and ASME journals. I have also served as a reviewer for international conferences including EEEP-2024 held in China. This reviewing experience has strengthened my critical evaluation skills and deepened my understanding of high-impact research standards. Overall, my academic journey demonstrates consistent growth in research output, strong engagement in scholarly activities, and continuous upskilling through FDPs and seminars. My experience reflects not only the ability to conduct quality research but also the commitment to remain updated with emerging technologies and advanced research methodologies in the field of energy and thermal systems.
