About

Dr. Asim Kumar obtained Bachelor of Pharmacy from SHUATS, Allahabad; (A U. P. State University) in 2011. He qualified national level GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test)-2011 examination with all India rank (AIR) of 89 and NIPER JEE-2011 with AIR of 08. He earned M.S. (Pharm.) in Medicinal Chemistry from NIPER Mohali (2013). He received Ph.D. (2018) under the supervision of Prof. Asit K. Chakraborti from NIPER Mohali. GATE-2013 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering-Chemical Sciences) with 95 percentile and NIPER JAT-2013 with AIR of 02 allowed his transition into JRF/SRF. He has published 30 top-rated academic research/ review journals including ACS Catalysis (IF 13.06), European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (IF 6.8) and Catalysis Science and Technology (IF 5.36). He has also co-authored a book chapter titled as “Green Chemistry: Synthesis of Bioactive Heterocycles” for Springer publishers. Dr. Kumar's research interests include development of new methodologies for the synthesis of bioactive heterocycles via green synthetic protocols//Organocatalytic transformations/C-H bond activation/cross coupling reactions and development of methodologies for heterobimetallic nanoparticles catalyzed organic transformations. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Amity University Haryana, India since 2018.
