About

Born on 15th December 1961, Dr G. Singh, Scientist G has completed his M.Sc. and Ph. D. from BHU, Varanasi, India. He joined Arid Forest Research Institute (AFRI), Jodhpur in November 1992 and developed different technologies for rehabilitation of degraded drylands and has published six books and more than 170 papers/chapters in journals and books. Awards to his credits are JRF and SRF of CSIR, New Delhi (1984), GATE (1985), S.K. Seth Prize for the year 2002, 2012, 2017 and 2019. Brandis award of 2018 and ICFRE award for the year 2003-04. Seven students have successfully completed Ph.D. By holding positions of scientist C to Scientist G and Head, Division of Forest Ecology and Climate Change, and Group Coordinator (Research) at AFRI), he has experiences of FRI, Ltd, Rotorua, New Zealand and CIFOR, Indonesia.
