About
I am Dr.E.Priya, committed to Academics and Research in the capacity of Professor, associated with Sri Sairam Engineering College since 2000. I have coached, guided and mentored more than 18 batches of Engineering Graduates during this tenure.
My objective is to make a positive difference in the field of Engineering Education, leveraging my skills and experience in the field of research and innovations.
I received Ph.D under the faculty of Information and Communication from Anna University in the field of Biomedical Engineering. I am currently guiding research scholars including part time and full time under Anna University in the area of biomechanical modeling, image and signal processing.
I am the Institute coordinator for conducting courses by IIRS, Government of India.
I am a recipient of DST PURSE fellow and a project participant of India South African collaborative project titled Development of computing tools for decision support in health assessment in rural areas.
My area of interest includes Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Signal & Image Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence. I have published papers in International Journals, Conferences and book chapters in the area of medical imaging and infectious diseases.

Secured Elite for successfully completing the 12 week National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning online certification course Biomedical Signal Processing as well as the 8 week course Basics of Finite Element Analysis 1.
Received Department of Science and Technology travel grant to visit University of Cape Town, South Africa to carry out the India South African collaborative project during 20th to 30th September 2011.
Project Versatile Sniffer Robot was awarded as the Innovation potential of students by Indian National Academy of Engineering in 2004 (Ref: INAE/201/IP).
