About
Dr. Debajyoti Mukhopadhyay has been the Founder Director of WIDiCoReL Research Lab since 2002. Currently he is Dean at Bennett University. He was the Director, Dean (R&D) at Mumbai University. He was the Dean and a Distinguished Professor at ADAMAS University. He was the Dean (R&D) and Professor & Head of Information Technology Department at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune. Prior to that, he was the Director of Balaji Institute of Telecom & Management Pune, India. During 2008-2010 for almost three years, he was the founding Head and Professor of the Information Technology & MIS at Calcutta Business School.
Dr. Mukhopadhyay was a Visiting Scholar in the Center for Secure Information Systems at George Mason University at it's Fairfax campus in Virginia (USA)(June-July 2014). He is a Distinguished Adjunct Professor at Curtin University (Australia). He also holds Adjunct Professorship at Monarch Business School (Switzerland), College of Engineering Pune (India) and Thapar University (India). Earlier, he was a full Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at the West Bengal University of Technology affiliated Engineering Colleges during 2001-2008. Dr. Mukhopadhyay was a Visiting Professor in the Division of Electronics & Information Engineering at Chonbuk National University, (Korea) (2006-2007). He had also taught at Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey (USA) (1982-1984) and at Bengal Engineering College affiliated to Calcutta University, West Bengal (India) (1980-1981). He worked as a Research Fellow at Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta (India)(1979-1980).
During 1982-1994, 1999 and in 2014, Dr. Mukhopadhyay was in the USA. He had worked at Bell Communications Research, New Jersey (USA) in its Computing Systems and Architecture Lab.
Dr. Mukhopadhyay had also held the positions of President & CEO of Data-Core (India) Limited of Kuljian Corporation (USA) & DCPL (India), Technical Director of M.N. Dastur & Co Ltd, Director of SriSoft Corporation (Los Angeles), Dy GM of TIL Limited, and Senior Consultant of Tata Consultancy Services.
Dr. Mukhopadhyay holds a B.E. (Electronics) from the University of Calcutta (India), a D.C.S. (Computer Science & Applications) from The Queen's University of Belfast (UK), an M.S. (Computer Science) from Stevens Institute of Technology (USA), and a Ph.D.(Engineering) (Computer Science) from Jadavpur University (India).
