About
Dr. Narottam Das Patel is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing Science and Engineering (SCSE) and a member of SECURE – Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security at VIT Bhopal University. He earned his doctorate from the Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security at The Institute for Development & Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) in Hyderabad, TS, India, established by the Reserve Bank of India, in collaboration with the University of Hyderabad (UoH), TS, India in 2023. He completed his M.Tech degree at SCIS, UoH, TS, India, in collaboration with Dell International, Hyderabad 2015. Dr. Patel is also a Subject Matter Expert at TCSiON, a confidential unit within Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and holds the position of Research and development Specialist at SML2029 Research and Consulting Private Limited. He reviews papers for journals affiliated with Inderscience, IEEE, and Springer publishers. He has 11 publications in peer-reviewed international journals with a high impact factor and seven publications in various international conferences held in India and abroad. During his tenure at IDRBT, he excelled in key technical domains. As a Network System Administrator, he expertly managed network infrastructure, including device configuration, IP address management, and vigilant monitoring. He also specialized in Firewall VAPT, conducting rigorous assessments, rule reviews, and penetration tests to fortify cybersecurity. His Cybersecurity Drills and VM Management skills showcased readiness and resource efficiency, contributing significantly to IDRBT's cyber resilience.
