About
My research focuses on understanding how diet–microbiome interactions regulate cancer metabolism, anti-tumor immunity, and therapeutic response. I am particularly interested in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, a metabolically rewired and immunosuppressive cancer with limited response to current immunotherapies. My current work investigates how distinct dietary fiber types remodel the gut microbiome to generate microbial metabolites that alter tumor lipid metabolism, nutrient availability within the tumor microenvironment, and immune cell function. Using preclinical pancreatic cancer models, microbiome profiling, metabolomics, lipidomics, transcriptomics, and flow cytometry-based immune profiling, I aim to identify fiber-driven metabolic pathways that suppress tumor progression and enhance response to immune checkpoint blockade. Ultimately, my goal is to develop mechanistically informed precision nutrition strategies that can be integrated with cancer therapy to improve treatment outcomes.
