Dr. Abhishek Shukla was capable to identify the inherent needs of society and offer services and products to serve those unmet needs, in India with changing socio-economic and demographic structure of the society there are people who have adequate finances but are leading lonely lives, these group of people have reached the age group where they need assistance round the clock, which the family and children fail to give either due to lack of time or too busy with career in the other part of World or because of so called modern outlook, where they prefer nuclear family and like to devote maximum time with immediate family, So by development of organisations like Aastha who provide medical, nursing and extended geriatric care in return of some charges is a great social endeavour. Dr. Abhishek Shukla who mastered this project has self-belief, courage, perseverance and honesty, such projects are the need of the hour and can be easily replicated in other developing countries and other parts of the World.
Dr. Shukla's work in field of geriatrics and palliative care qualifies under social entrepreneurship, where one creates such ventures which root out social problems, enhance social wellbeing, create numerous jobs in the society and therefore contribute in economic growth of the country apart from extending medical care to the ailing population of the society.
