About

Throughout my scientific career I have always Idolize Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam "The Missile man of India"

I am an Environmental Biotechnologist with deep interest in
(a) Soil microbiology - Studying the ecological dynamics of microbial protist-bacteria interactions in soil for sustainable agriculture benefits.
(b) Waste water microbiology - Combatting the threat of Antibiotic resistant bacteria
(c) Soil-on-chip microfluidic devices to study microbial interactions
(d) Carbon dots and their environmental applications

Although my doctoral work was on waste water disinfection, I developed interest in soil microbiology for sustainable agriculture benefits from the "Israelis" during my postdoctoral studies at ZIWR, BGU, Israel.

I strongly acquired the skills of multidisciplinary/technology oriented research during my postdoctoral studies at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and thus currently involved in learning various skills of microfluidic device designing and fabrication with specific focus on "Soil On a Chip Microfluidic devices".

My long term goal is to equip farmers in our country with natural methods of increasing soil fertility for improvising agriculture productivity.

Apart from research I am fascinated with cultivating edible mushrooms, watching movies, listening to music, exploring nature and spend time with my family and friends.
