RAHUL KUMAR GOSWAMI
Durban University of Technology, Central University of Rajasthan, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya
About
Dr. Rahul Kumar Goswami completed his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Department of Biotechnology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur (C.G.), India, in 2018. The same year, he joined the DBT-BUILDER project as a Junior Research Fellow in the Microbial Technology Group, where he developed proficiency in microbiological techniques and handling of sophisticated analytical instruments. He pursued his Ph.D. in Microbiology at the Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, under the supervision of Prof. Pradeep Verma and completed it in 2024. His doctoral research focused on the development of low-cost microalgal cultivation systems, phycoremediation of wastewater, and biomass valorization into value-added products. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Fellow (NRF-SARChI) at the Institute for Water and Wastewater Technology, Durban University of Technology, South Africa. His postdoctoral research focuses on the design of innovative microalgal cultivation systems using chemical modulators to enhance the production of high-value biomolecules for human consumption.
