About
Madhusudan Mishra is working as a research associate at centre of excellence in nano science and technology for development of sensors (CoENSTds), Berhampur University. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Electronics from Utkal University, Odisha, in 2011, and M. Sc. degree in Electronic Science from Berhampur University, Odisha, in 2013, holding the first rank. During 2014-15 he worked as a project associate in the dept. of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras on employing a fiber brag grating sensor for structural health monitoring of an air turbine engine (Kaveri), sitting at the GTRE (DRDO), Bangalore. He was awarded DST INSPIRE Fellowship in 2015 and did his Ph.D. (Tech.) in Si photonics from Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics (IRPE), University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India (submitted in Nov. 2021; awarded in Sept. 2023). During his Ph.D. he visited University of Politecnico di Milano, Italy (2016-17) through EM LEADERS doctoral scholarship and worked with the eminent photonic device group of Prof. Andrea Melloni and Dr. Francesco Morichetti for one year. After submission of his thesis, he worked as a Research Associate (under RRF, DAE) under the mentorship of Dr. Naba K. Sahoo, RRF and Former associate director of Physics group, BARC, Bombay; at the Centre of Excellence in Nanoscience and technology for development of sensors (CoENSTds), Berhampur University, Odisha, India, for 20 months. On 1st Aug. 2023, he joined the dept. of Electronic Science as an assistant professor (contractual) and worked till May, 2024. Having 11 no. of journals, 4 lecture notes, and 10 conferences published; and 5 more journals communicated and 1 patent published, 1 patent filed; Dr. Mishra is continuing his research in collaboration with various research groups such as IIT Madras, Oxford College of Engineering Bangalore, AMIT Lucknow, University of Calcutta, and IISER Berhampur.
