Dr. Visakh N. U. is a researcher (Assistant Professor) in Agricultural Entomology at ICAR-KVK Malappuram, Kerala Agricultural University, India. His research covers entomology, pollinators, natural product chemistry, essential oils, nanoformulations, pest management, and molecular docking. With more than 35 Scopus-indexed, impact-factor publications in journals published by Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, and MDPI, he has received several awards, including the Young Entomologist Award, the Insects 2022 MDPI Best Paper Award, the Dr. Sabu K. Thomas Best Paper Award 2024, the ANRF-DST Young Scientist International Travel Grant, and the CSIR Foreign Travel Award, etc,. Dr. Visakh currently serves as an Associate Editor for several international journals, including Archives of Phytopathology and Plant Protection (Taylor & Francis) and the New Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science (Wiley). He is also an Editorial Board Member of BMC Agriculture (Springer Nature) and Modern Agriculture (Wiley), and a Youth Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Essential Oil Bearing Plants (Taylor & Francis) and Advanced Functional Foods. He was recently appointed as a Scientific Editor for Next Research and Industrial Crops and Products (Elsevier journals). He is also a Review Editor, Special issue guest editor for Natural Product Communications (SAGE) and an Early Career Editorial Board Member for the New Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science. In addition, he has been invited to peer review more than 150 manuscripts for over 60 international journals. He has presented his research at many prestigious international seminars, symposiums, and congresses, including the International Symposium on Essential Oils in Budapest, Hungary (2024), and has received numerous Best Oral and Best Poster Presentation awards.
