About
Sarmishtha Ghosh is a physiologist by training, and a physiology teacher by profession, with 29 years of experience in teaching & research on student stress and autonomic reactions. She has extensive experience in innovative teaching-learning activities, and assessment strategies to identify potential high and low achievers. She has wide experience in working in 3 different countries namely Nepal, India and Malaysia in various capacities both academic and administrative. Currently, she is serving as a Professor in Health Professions Education, Bhaikaka University, India, and is involved in the improvement of faculty development programs, and mentorship program. She is also the Head of the Feedback Committee of the University. She is a Master in Health Professions Education from Keele University (FAIMER-Keele, CenMedic) and is an experienced health professions educator
She has conducted numerous workshops both nationally and internationally. She has published original research papers in esteemed journals like Advances in Physiology Education, Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, BioMed Central-Medical Education, Education for Health, Indian Journal of Medical Research, etc.
She is a reviewer for many esteemed journals namely Education for Health, Medical Journal of Dr. D Y Patil University, Canadian Medical Education Journal, Kathmandu University Medical Journal, Medical Education [ Really Good Stuff], Med-Ed Online, Teaching and Learning in Medicine, Journal of Advances In Physiology Education (a Journal Of American Physiological Society), BioMed Central Neuroscience, Med Ed Publish, Sultan Qaboos Medical Journal etc.
Her area of specialization is human physiology and medical / health professions education.
