About
An accomplished biotechnologist with over 6+ years of experience in research and development, specializing in host-pathogen interactions, molecular biology, and molecular microbiology. She focuses on addressing antimicrobial resistance through innovative strategies, including the development of antimicrobial cationic peptides (using synthetic biology) and non-thermal plasma therapy.
Her interdisciplinary research also investigates the establishment of immunoblockade of PD-L1 using non-thermal plasma therapy in TNBC cells. Additionally, she has experience in environmental studies, specifically the degradation of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) bloom using novel chemical compounds and the detection of microplastics in marine organisms in South Korea.
Currently, her research focuses on the exploration and engineering of bacterial systems for the synthesis and characterization of bioactive molecules with industrial and biomedical relevance.
