Agriculture Scientist with 28+ years experience in Research, Teaching and Out-reach activities. Research expertise include: (i) crop-weather and climate impact studies, (ii) application of crop models for climate impact and adaptation studies, (iii) Crop production under changing climate, (iv) Cropping systems including agroforestry systems for dry-lands, (v) Soil N cycling and GHG fluxes, and Sustainable agriculture. Currently Heading the Department of Agricultural Meteorology at the UAS, Dharwad and coordinating M.Sc. degree program in the department. Executing and managing five externally funded projects which includes funding agencies like IMD, New Delhi, ISRO-NRSC, Hyderabad, World Bank funded REWARD-MWAAS project and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board & Private agencies. In addition, also engaged in supervision of Masters and PhD students research work, issuing weather forecast based agro-advisories to farmers across North Interior Karnataka region of India.
