About

Dr. T. C. Taranath, Professor of Botany, Director, College Development Council, Karnatak University Dharwad is serving his best in teaching, research, extension and administrative sections from last 29 years with 13 years as Professor of Botany. Also he has served as Head of the department of Botany, Goa Govt. College, Quepem; Chairman, P. G. Department of Studies in Botany, Karnatak University; Registrar (Administration), Rani Channamma University, Belagavi; Executive Officer, Karnataka Biodiversity Board, Department of Ecology and Environment, Government of Karnataka.
He has supervised several research projects of Karnatak University and Government of Karnataka. Ten students have been successfully awarded Ph. D. degree in Botany and presently 8 students are pursuing Ph. D. under his guidance. Also he has guided 44 post graduate research projects in Environmental Biology and Green Nanotechnology. He has published 83 research articles in National and International journals and more than 20 book chapters in International Scientific Edited books.
He has served as NAAC peer team member and coordinator and also as the member and president of several constitutional boards of the University.
