SAVITA KASHYAP
Punjab Engineering College, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Chandigarh University
About
Savita Kashyap is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in high-efficiency silicon solar cell technologies. She received her Ph.D. in photovoltaic device engineering with a focus on PERC solar cells and subsequently expanded her research to advanced passivating contact technologies, particularly n-type TOPCon solar cells. Her work integrates numerical device simulation using Sentaurus TCAD with experimental insights to optimize device architecture, carrier transport, and recombination mechanisms.
Her current research interests include monofacial and bifacial TOPCon solar cells, double-side passivating contact structures, surface and bulk recombination analysis, and performance optimization through physics-based modeling. She also has experience in perovskite single-junction solar cells and is actively interested in extending her expertise toward perovskite–silicon tandem solar cells.
In addition to device physics and simulation, her broader interests include machine-learning-assisted materials and device optimization for photovoltaics, energy storage, and sustainable energy conversion technologies. She has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and conference publications and actively participates in international research collaborations aimed at advancing next-generation photovoltaic technologies.
