About
Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed obtained his M.Sc. (2018) and Ph.D. (2023) in Chemistry from the Central University of Punjab, India respectively. He completed his first postdoctoral experience as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Mahidol University, Thailand (2023–2024), followed by a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore), India (2024–2026). Currently he is working as Assistant Professor (RDC) Department of Chemistry, Parul Institute of Applied Sciences, Parul University Vadodra.
His research interests focus on the design and development of inorganic and organic functional materials for sustainable energy and environmental applications. His expertise encompasses electrocatalysis for water splitting, including the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and seawater electrolysis (chlorine evolution reaction, CER), as well as supercapacitors, heterogeneous catalysis, and photocatalysis.
Dr. Ahmed has been recognized with several prestigious fellowships, including the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) Junior Research Fellowship (2018), CSIR Senior Research Fellowship (2021), and a Postdoctoral Research Associate fellowship at IIT Indore (2024–2026). He is committed to advancing innovative materials and electrochemical technologies for clean energy conversion and storage through interdisciplinary research and collaborative scientific endeavors.
