I have been teaching Philosophy to undergraduates for over 30 years. I have been designated as a Research supervisor for scholars pursuing their PhD from Department of Philosophy, University of Delhi. Two scholars have also been awarded MPhil. Two scholars have been awarded their PhD degrees under my supervision. I am currently supervising 8 PhD scholars. Also, I got promoted to academic level 14(Professor) wef February 2023.

I received my PhD degree from Department of Philosophy, University of Delhi in 2004 under the supervision of Prof Ashok Vohra. My thesis was on ' Love: A Conceptual Analysis'. I worked on Plato's Symposium and Phaedrus(both from English translations), and a part of Lucretius' :On Nature of Things (translated version of his De-Rerum Natura).

Research areas that I have been working on are Plato’s Philosophy, Aesthetics, Art and Film Appreciation, Gender and Love, Applied Ethics, Bio-Medical Ethics, and Indian Scriptural-Cultural narratives as suitable to the present-day world view.

I Have over14 publications in Research journals of repute and a couple of chapters in edited books published by OUP, Springer and Brill. A paper published in a book following Conference proceedings, and a Newspaper article on The significance of Philosophy.

I Have been a resource person for Orientation Course at CPDHE-ASC, Delhi(2010), Refresher Course in Philosophy at JNU (2019) , FDP organised online by Harsingh Gour University and Matasundri College(DU) in 2021, presented a lecture on ‘Bio-medical Ethics’ to the participants in a FDP on values organised by DAVV and UGC-HRDC, Indore,and recently was invited as a speaker for regional FDP on Indian Philosophy and its context in Viksit Bharat, conducted by ICPR.

I Have given talks, presentations, both in-person as well as online as an 'invited speaker ;or' a panellist' at various National and international forum including Colleges of University of Delhi like Miranda House, Lady Sriram College, Hindu College, JDMC, MLNC, Department of Philosophy, DU, IGNCA, International Herbert Marcuse Society and Reza Foundation's Critical Theory Colloquium ,NABH (National Accreditation for Board of hospitals), OP Jindal Global University, University of Oxford (UK), Prague(Czech Republic), Lisbon(Portugal), and Bruges (Belgium).

I have been awarded UGC'S full Travel Grant for presenting papers at Global Conferences in University of Oxford (in the years-2010,2013 and 2016.) ICPR also gave me a partial Travel grant in the year 2012, and received a grant for travel in 2012 .

I have been in the committee for courses revision in 2005, 2012/13, 2015, 2018/19 and 2021/22.

Recently, I was filmed for an upcoming docu-drama to be televised by DD National and DD Kashir on Kashmiri Philosopher-saint, Abhinavgupta.

In the past, I have had the privilege to be interviewed as a Woman Philosopher by a woman's collective. Have again been invited to attend a talk by prominent scholars on 'Women in Philosophy' at Newham College, University of Cambridge, UK and have been to meet a renowned Greek Philosophy Thinker and Feminist Scholar, Dr Frisbee Sheffield in a personal capacity to meet and interact in 2022 at University of Cambridge.
