Dr. Debayan Bhowmick
Brainware University, NIT SILCHAR, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology School of Mechanical Engineering
About
I have completed my doctoral research from Department of Mechanical Engineering National Institute of Technology Silchar (India). My research interest lies in developing and accessing numerical models to accurately predict problems involving coupled fluid dynamics, heat, and mass transfer. I have developed a strong background in numerical modeling (solution of coupled PDEs) during my doctoral studies and applied it for investigating the performance and thermal safety issues in partially filled porous corrugated channel. Exploration in the field of energy storage devices is rapidly advancing and contains several interdisciplinary research opportunities. My specific interest lies in developing advanced modeling techniques to gain a fundamental understanding of the heat transfer augmentation and entropy generation characteristics due to forced convective flow within a partially filled porous channel.
