About

Dr. W. Anbu Durai is a well known academician & researcher. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Chemistry in the year from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Palayamkottai, affiliated to Manonmanium Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli(2010-2013). Then he moved to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, for his Master degree in Chemistry (2013-2015), Then, he earned his Ph.D., in Chemistry under the direct supervision of Prof. A. Ramu, at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, School of chemistry, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India (2016- 27 Jan 2021). Thereafter, he has joined in PSN College of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous), Tirunelveli as Assistant Professor of Chemistry (27th Dec 2021 - 01 Aug 2025) , He has held several academic and administrative responsibilities there such as Deputy Coordinator, Board Chairman - Chemistry Evaluation Board, Board of Studies - Member, Library committee chairman, Hostel Residential Warden (Marine), Science Club coordinator, Class Advisor, Test & TT Coordinator, Chemistry Laboratory in charge, Coordinator - UBA, IIC, Spoken tutorial, Tutor - Engineering Chemistry & Chemistry lab, Mentoring the students. Presently he is associated with KCG College of Technology (Autonomous), Chennai as an Assistant Professor (SG) (15.06.2026 to till date). His research area is mainly concern about the development of new chromogenic and fluorogenic chemosensors, Immunosensors, Bioinorganic Chemistry especially DNA/BSA binding and DNA tracking studies. He has Published 5 research articles in reputed scientific journals & 1 book chapter. His publications has gained 148 citations, 6 h index, 6 i 10 index as of August 2026. He has recognized as Research Supervisor by Centre for research, Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu to supervise Ph.D., research students
