About

Dynamic hydrogeologist with a diverse background in hydrological modeling, GIS analysis, and fieldwork spanning across southern and northern India. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Science and Humanities from Anna University, Chennai, with a focus on assessing coastal aquifer vulnerability due to climate change using groundwater modeling in the Chennai region. Proficient in utilizing advanced software such as FEFLOW, MODFLOW, ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python for data analysis and modeling purposes.

Possess extensive experience in organizing conferences, workshops, and symposiums, demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Played a pivotal role as a Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow on Department of Science and Technology funded projects aimed at hydrogeological interventions for flood mitigation, augmentation of groundwater recharge, and assessing coastal aquifer vulnerability.

Engaged in numerous geological field visits, conducting hydrogeological investigations including water quality tests, pumping tests, slug tests, and resistivity surveys. Research interests encompass hydrogeology, groundwater flow and transport modeling, climate change, geophysics, and remote sensing.

Active participant in international collaborations, having visited Roma Tre University, Italy, as part of an Indo-Italy collaboration project and currently involved in groundwater flow and seawater intrusion projects in Qatar. Regularly attends and presents at conferences, including notable contributions to national and international seminars on water resources management, climate change, and hydrology.

Published several research papers in reputable journals and contributed to book chapters focusing on innovative water management, sustainable groundwater management, and the impacts of climate change on water resources. Adept at building professional networks and enhancing skills through participation in a wide range of training programs and workshops, indicating a commitment to continuous learning and development.
