About
Jagadish Rao is presently working as Associate Professor in Forensic Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore [ Affiliated to Manipal University] and Honorary Medico legal consultant to Govt Wenlock District Hospital, Mangalore . He has completed his Doctor of Medicine from KMC, Manipal in 2006. He was awarded Diplomate of National Board [DNB], from National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi in 2007. Dr Rao subsequently completed PG diploma in Criminology and Forensic Sciences [Annamalai University, Chennai] in 2005, Diploma in Cyber Law [Government Law college, Mumbai and Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune] in 2008, PG certificate in Torture Medicine [ IMA AKN Sinha Institute, Patna] in 2011.
As a distinguished academician Dr Rao has contributed more than 50 scientific papers in various National and International index journals. Has authored chapters in “ Modern trends in Forensic Science” by Shree Publishers, New Delhi. To his credit he has presented various scientific papers in State, National and International professional gathering held in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Egypt, Australia and Netherlands. He is presently reviewer to various international journals like Clinical Anatomy, Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine, Asia Pacific Journal of Public Health and Nigerian journal of Clinical Practice.
Jagadish Rao is a recipient of second runners up in the International photography competition “ Reflections 2008”, organized by APACPH, KL, Malaysia in 2008. He has been duly recognized and awarded by KMC, Mangalore for his contributions to scientific publications from 2008 to 2011. He has been as a resource person and jury to various quiz competition held in south India and National level.
Dr Rao is presently the member of various National and International professional associations including Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi [ MNAMS], International Society of Infectious Diseases and Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology.
