About
I am a biomedical researcher with over 15 years of experience in nephrology, epidemiology, and global health. I currently serve as a Senior Research Officer in the Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplant Medicine at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. My research interests include chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, renal and cardiovascular outcomes, environmental risk factors, epidemiology, and non-communicable diseases.
I have contributed to more than 140 peer-reviewed publications and have collaborated with the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) as part of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study, contributing to landmark research published in journals including The Lancet, Nature Medicine, NEJM and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. My research experience includes ICMR- and UGC-funded projects, clinical drug trials, large-scale epidemiological studies, and research on environmental determinants of kidney disease, including air-pollution exposure among occupational drivers.
My broader academic interests focus on generating evidence to improve prevention, early detection, and management of kidney disease and other major non-communicable diseases, with an emphasis on population health and clinically relevant research.
