Dr. Shardool Vikram Gupta is a dedicated academic surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi. He brings over four years of prior experience as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the same institution and at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, Rohini.

Dr. Gupta is fellowship-trained (M.Ch.) in Minimal Access Surgery from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He also holds an M.S. in General Surgery from the University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital, Delhi University.

His clinical expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of advanced gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and colorectal surgery. He is proficient in both laparoscopic and open approaches for complex abdominal and perianal procedures. Additionally, Dr. Gupta has specialized training in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), and upper gastrointestinal surgeries.

Complementing his surgical practice, he has a keen interest and skill in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and surgeon-performed percutaneous interventions, integrating these modalities for enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic patient care.

His research interests and academic work are focused on advancing techniques and outcomes in minimally invasive surgery, surgical ultrasonography, and the comprehensive management of gastrointestinal diseases.
