Dr. Suresh Kaushik

About

Dr. Suresh Kaushik, Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology is a former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) associated with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi. His research interests include nanobiotechnology and nanosensors in the agriculture and health sectors. He has experience in the genetic engineering of crops and carried out research work on genetically modified organisms (GMO) technology particularly Bt-transgenic/GM crops as a Ph.D. scholar. He is associated with various research projects in nanotechnology and biotechnology. His work focused on elemental analysis using ICP-MS including trace analysis of nutrients and heavy metals in food, soil, and biological matrices for safety issues and toxicological studies. He has guided several M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in the subject of Biotechnology. He has more than thirty five publications to his credit including research papers, review articles, book chapters, and edited books; and he serves as a reviewer of national and international journals. He is a member of several advisory and organizing committees of national and international conferences and workshops; and has delivered many invited lectures at different national and international conferences and workshops regarding innovative solutions for smart and intelligent futuristic agriculture, crop farming, food science, environment, and healthcare systems for real-time monitoring using nanotechnology, electronic devices, artificial intelligence, and nanosensors. An edited book entitled “Nanosensors for Futuristic Smart and Intelligent Healthcare System” under the imprint of Taylor & Francis/CRC Press has been published.
