About

Yash Pratap Singh is a highly motivated and ambitious electronics engineer passionate about Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Integrated Electronics. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics Engineering from ZHCET, Aligarh Muslim University, with an impressive CGPA of 8.903/10.0.

Yash's research interests lie at the intersection of AI, ML, and Integrated Electronics. He is particularly fascinated by the applications of AI in robotics, computer vision, and human activity recognition. His work has focused on developing more sophisticated and complex hardware, leveraging advancements in AI and ML to create innovative solutions. One of his notable projects was developing a custom Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) model for categorizing human activities using data gathered from various sensors embedded in contemporary smartphones. This project led to a MDPI Sensors 2023 Journal publication, showcasing his expertise in ML and Deep Learning (DL) models. The project achieved a test accuracy of 98.1% on a spectrum of 9 different activities, which is a significant improvement over current works.

Yash has also been involved in various other projects, including the development of a Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) and a Dual Axis Solar Tracker and Voltage Estimator. He has also worked on a project for vehicle distance estimation using monocular cameras and has built an autonomous lane detection car using Raspberry Pi and OpenCV. Yash has published several papers in prestigious journals, including MDPI Sensors 2023, IEEE Sensors Journal, and IEEE IMPACT. His research work has been recognized through various awards and achievements, including securing the 1st rank in the AMUROVc 2022 national level ROV competition and being selected for the 2nd REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) Program in STEM disciplines 2022-2023.

Yash is now pursuing his Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University, where he plans to further enhance his expertise in AI, ML, and Integrated Electronics.
