About
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, supported by the DDLS (SciLifeLab) program. I hold an MSc in Biotechnology and a PhD in Medical Microbiology from ICMR-Regional Medical Research centre, Sri Vijaya Puram, Port Blair and Pondicherry University, India, with a specialisation in microbial proteomics. My earlier research focused on the outer membrane proteins of Leptospira, establishing expertise in subcellular fractionation, proteome profiling, and biomarker discovery. My current work centers on the proteomics of Helicobacter pylori, class I carcinogen of gastric cancer, particularly the characterization of a newly discovered ecospecies associated with high gastric-cancer risk. I focus on mapping outer membrane protein (OMP) repertoires, virulence factors, and regulatory mechanisms that shape H. pylori pathogenicity.
