Prof. Kuldip S. Chhikara is presently holding the post of Editor-in-Chief of M. D. University Research Journal (ARTS) in addition to his permanent position of Professor in the Department of Commerce, MDU, Rohtak. He is the former Director, Directorate of Distance Education, M. D. University, Rohtak. The Directorate showed tremendous progress during his tenure of five and a half years by significantly controlling the cost of the Directorate and bringing it to the level of approximately 40 per cent of the previous years which in return resulted in the consolidation of the financial position of the Directorate. The Directorate plays a substantial role in the growth and development of the University by catering for its financial needs. He has also been the Director of Career Counselling and Placement Cell of the University for more than two years and wrote a success story by organizing successfully various placement activities and approximately 950 students got job offers from prestigious companies including had been the university topper of M. Com. and M. Phil. (Gold Medalist). He is having a long teaching and research experience of more than 30 years and has guided more than 26 Ph. D. and M. Phil. students. He has contributed significantly to the field of education by having published around 134 research papers in National and International journals of repute. He has presented around 100 research papers at National and International Conferences/Seminars. He has also authored three books for M. Com. students of the Directorate of Distance Education of the University. He loves poetry and his Hindi Poetry book AVADAN has widely been subscribed by many libraries/institutions. He has won Best Paper Award (2012) in an International Conference and the Best Published Paper Award in 2018 by an International Journal of repute. He was honoured with the ‘International Great Icon Award’, in 2019 the by Anti-corruption Foundation of India for his contributions to the field of education. He actively participates in social activities and has graced various functions in the capacity of Chief Guest/Guest Honour. He also raises issues of national/social concern through his newspaper articles and TV/Radio debates/talks. He is the member/life member of various important committees of the university and other organizations and contributes accordingly.
