About
I am a public health physician with over thirty five years’ experience in working on reproductive health, gender, human rights and health governance related issues at the national and global level. I have been one of the global pioneers on involving men for gender equality. I have also been active in linking community level practices with knowledge production and public policy. I have been a founding member and earlier Co-Chair of two global networks MenEngage Alliance and COPASAH. I have been an invited speaker on many platforms including the UN and the EU. I am associated with various policy making bodies in India including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the National Human Rights Commission and earlier the Planning Commission.
