I hold Ph.D. degree in Zoology from the Kumaun University, Nainital (INDIA), where I studied Systematics and Cytogenetics of the Drosophilids (Fruit fly).
Specific Research Area: Systematics, Cytogenetics, Molecular Phylogeny, Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity of family Drosophilidae (Diptera-Drosophila).
Interest:
1. The main interest and objective to explore a complete virgin field of Drosophilidae fauna (fruit fly) and Evolution, ecology, biodiversity and altitudinal variations of Drosophila especially in Uttarakhand and northern region, India.
2. Planning, create useful website for taxonomy and identification of Drosophilidae (for online Species diagnosis).
3. Now we try to DNA sequencing & molecular phylogeny of all known and new species of Drosophilids of this region
